#001  PRE-GED SKILLS ~ For speakers of English to brush up on skills or prepare to take the GED classes. The course provides intensive instruction in basic written English as well as basic mathematics. Emphasis is on skills for everyday life. Students work at their own pace. (Instructor, Staff)

#002 ESL CLASSES ~ ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE AND PRINCIPLES OF DEMOCRACY: We offer basic to advanced English grammar and conversation classes.  Emphasis is on reading, writing, all phases of oral communications, and information on rights, privileges, and responsibilities as residents or future citizens. Classes emphasize skills needed in everyday living. (Instructors, Melanie McNamara, Elaine Littman, Kate Leudtke, Alison Jasgur, Gloria Sax)

#002 Clases de ESL  ~  Ingles Como Segundo Idioma y Principios de Democracia: Ofrecemos de lo basico a lo avanzado en gramatica y conversacion en Ingles. Se enfoca en lectura, escritura, todas las fases de comunicacion oral e informacion de derechos, privilegios y resposabilidades como residentes o futuros ciudadanos. Las clases se enfocan en las abilidades necesarias para la vida cotidiana.

#003 GED CLASSES ~ TO PREPARE FOR THE GENERAL EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT TEST:  A high school diploma is awarded by the State Department of Education to adults who pass the GED test. Classroom instruction is strongly encouraged; enroll in our classes to prepare for the Math, Social Studies, Writing, English, and Science sections of the GED test. #005 AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP ~  For immigrants preparing for American citizenship where U.S. history and the Constitution will be studied. #006 IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION CONSULTATION ~  ESL instructors are available to assist students with immigration and naturalization information. Further assistance may be obtained from United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) (1-800-375-5283)  or at www.uscis.gov

#009 ADVANCED ENGLISH CONVERSATION & WRITING FOR ESL STUDENTS ~ Improve your grammar and pronunciation, enhance your vocabulary and writing skills, participate in group discussions and projects designed around current events, lifestyles and traditions.
