Our classes do not meet on Westport Public School Holidays, Staff Development Days, or Shortened School Days. Unless otherwise noted, elementary students do not have classes during teacher conferences and staff development, March 24, Apr. 8, 9, 10

CLUB FIT- FITNESS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOLERS (Gr. 6-8) ~ You have heard about it.  It’s called exercise.  It’s about moving, getting your heart rate up, improving your mood, feeling more energetic, getting strong and feeling good about yourself. Classes include aerobics, fun fitness challenges, strength, core and flexibility training. Becoming fit is fun – join us and get moving now! (Instructor, Judy Samuels)

#984 BADMINTON (Gr. 4 & up) ~ Come learn this fun and exciting fast paced Olympic sport. This is the real sport. Beginners to advanced players welcome. YOGA (Gr. 6-8) ~ Yoga promotes unification of the body and mind. You will gain strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. You will develop the ability to look within, think for yourself and trust the knowledge inside. Yoga will teach you patience, self-acceptance, breathing, relaxation and stress-relieving techniques. #174 HIGH POWER MODEL ROCKETRY ~ A Craftsman’s Approach to Rocket Science (For adults or children grade 6 & up with a parent): Modelers/ Flyers ranging from Novice to Level-2 will learn major aspects of Low and High Power Model Rocketry.  Learn techniques for designing, planning, building and finishing model rockets as well as major aspects of safe flight planning,  preparation, simulation and actual flying.  Learn advanced skills like computer design and flight simulation, dual deployment, altimeters, reloadable motor systems and fiberglass construction.  You will receive more than 50 related knowledge-resources. #457VW  3-D GRAPHICS and ANIMATION (Gr. 5 & up) ~ An exciting, hands-on camp featuring exciting graphic tools and an introduction to the world of 3D computer animation. You’ll learn about the key essentials of LightWave 3D software, covering polygonal modeling, surfacing, and key frame animation techniques. This powerful software is used in most television shows that rely on 3D special effects. With fun mini-projects designed to build on each other, you will quickly become comfortable using the power tools in Modeler and navigating the movie set environments in Layout. We’ll add music to spice up your 3D experiments and burn your final Quicktime movies onto a CD.  Prerequisite: comfortable with basic computer skills. (Instructor, Rob Rogers)

Are you the next Emeril or Rachael Ray?  Food that tastes good can be more than just hamburgers, chicken nuggets and pizza.  You will learn to prepare, cook and eat delicious foods using fresh and natural ingredients.  Classes will be hands-on.  Create your own culinary masterpieces as we prepare dishes from start to finish.

#981 ACRYLIC PAINTING (Gr. 6 & up) ~ “Every master knows that the material teaches the artist.” Ilya Ehrenberg (1892-1967) Every student should know that painting has its own set of unique characteristics. This course offers serious middle school students the opportunity to expand their knowledge of painting with acrylic paints. AFTER SCHOOL OUTDOOR ADVENTURERS CLUB (Ages 10-14, 15-17) ~ co-sponsored by The Mountain Workshop and Westport Continuing Education.  This program offers an exciting after-school program focused on outdoor adventure. Sign up for one or both afternoons a month.  Saturday adventures and a weeklong Spring Break adventure are offered as well.  Sign up for any or all sessions!
