Class
locations are indicated with the information. Although most classes are offered at
Staples High School, facilities are clearly indicated with each course description.
ADULTS WILL

Our kids classes do not meet on the following dates:

Our classes do not meet on Westport Public School
Holidays, Staff Development Days, or Shortened School Days.
Unless otherwise noted, elementary students do not have classes during teacher
conferences: April 8, 9, 10

Non-residents
EVERY person
is welcome to take our classes!
ADULTS: Non residents simply pay a registration fee of $10 once
per semester whereas Westport residents pay a $5 registration fee once per
semester. There is no
registration fee if you are taking a single session course. Registrations are
accepted on a first come, first served basis.
How
do I register?
1. Online/Electronically
To register for any of the classes
through our secure registration system, please click on the course
number or description (in bright blue) and
you will be taken to a page which will allow you to register through a
secure server for that specific course.
Register for additional courses if
desired.
If you are registering more than one
person, you will be required to do them separately.
For your convenience, a profile will be
created on each student which will expedite future registrations.
Registrations can be placed over the
phone. Please note that registration fees are waived for online
registrations.
2. Call us at 341-1209 and we will happily process your registration.
3. Register in person. We’re located at Staples High School in
room 1040.
4. You must
register prior to attending a class.
What
if the class is full?
We will let you know right away if the
class is full and will be happy to tell you about other classes we think may be of
interest to you. Also, some classes are offered more than once during the
year.
How do I
get a refund?

Are
books/supplies included?
Books and materials fees are additional.
You
will be notified the first day
of class what the materials fees will be. Some crafts classes may have
additional fees for which you may be liable even if you don't attend the class. Food fees for Culinary Arts classes are payable at registration and are
non-refundable. The teachers often purchase materials in advance.
If you register and then discover you cannot attend
the course, please inform us as soon as possible.
Is
prior experience/knowledge required?
We offer many courses for beginners. If "advanced"
skills are required, it will be clearly indicated in the course description. Some
courses that require prior experience include technology courses, foreign
languages, and
others that are described as "intermediate" or "advanced."
